(1) Our Testimony
Hello, welcome to our site! If you don’t know us personally, we’re a family of 11 (Dad and Mom + 5 girls & 4 boys !) living in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Our life is based on home. We have home church, home births, home school, home garden, home orchard, etc. Having such a large family is not always easy, but it is such a blessing that we would not give it up for anything!
Hal Stanley, our loving father, is a “semi-retired” pastor with an ever-growing passion for the Word, and every Sunday morning we have a church service at home. Sometimes other families attend, sometimes we are alone. We ourselves have devotions (to God, his Word, and each other) twice a day every day, in the evenings and mornings. If you are interested in attending Sunday services, you are more than welcome to join us! For details on our church schedule and location, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: We are still doing a lot of work on this site and learning to record Dad’s sermons. We haven’t had much experience with microphones and recordings and such things- but we are working on ‘standardizing’ the process. So if there are a lot of inconsistencies in quality, volume and such things, please excuse it- it will eventually get polished up.
For now, thanks for visiting, and may God’s blessings flow upon you!

I (Madelyn) would like to share a blog I wrote after Christmas 2009, as it tells a little about our family. I hope you enjoy!
Our Christmas Blessing
Merry Christmas everyone, I hope your Christmas was filled with blessings and joy. For me it was the best Christmas yet. Let me share it with you. First of all, I am 16 years old, and the oldest of 8 children. It was Christmas morning and we were all excited, having just finished opening all of our presents. Then Mom handed us another small present to open. She told us “it’s just a little something from your dad and I for you to share”. So we gathered together and opened it. Inside was a little jewelry box. No, there was no jewelry in it, it was something far more valuable. In it was a piece of paper with just two words on it. Two words that are familiar to us but this time we were totally surprised. “I’m Pregnant”!!!! Mom has surprised us before but this was truly a blessing to find out on Christmas day. Immediately the atmosphere erupted with excitement. Each of us had our own way of expressing our joy. It took a while for it to soak in for some and others burst out screaming with glee. Mom video-taped the whole event but had no idea how priceless the video would turn out. We’ve watched it over and over again, the excitement never lessening. Now I want to share it with you with hopes that it will bless you too. (See link at bottom)
To further inform, this baby will be Mom’s 9th and Dad’s 14th child. (Dad has five older ones that are grown). It may seem like the excitement would lessen each time we are told again that Mom is expecting. However, that is not the case. Instead the excitement seems to grow each time. This time was definitely the best yet, it being Christmas Day. By the way, Mom had just found out Christmas morning herself. Normally Dad and Mom wait until they hear the heartbeat to share the news with us, but since it was Christmas they just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. We all believe that children are a gift from God and we don’t take for granted that Mom is able to bear children knowing there are many women out there who wish they could have children and can’t. We also believe that it is God who opens and closes the womb, so we leave the timing and amount of children up to Him and trust Him to provide for all our many daily needs. And let me assure you, he has never failed to provide all our many daily needs.
(King James) Philippians 4:19: “But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.
(King James) Psalms 127:3: “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: And the fruit of the womb is his reward”
